Ladies Match Report

Westerlands 0 v 3 Kilmarnock

A terrific away win for Kilmarnock   Ladies who dominated the match for long periods.

Killie pressed from the outset creating plenty of good chances but with only one on target in the first half. Good link up play down the left flank between Murphy, Patterson and Law ended with the latter sending over a deep cross. The ball dropping at the feet of Sloan who dispatched past the Westies keeper.

HT Westerlands 0 v 1 Kilmarnock

The second half was more of the same except Kilmarnock, seemed much more relaxed and were finding more spaces in good areas of the park.

And it wasn't long before they extended their lead through Patterson. She capitalised on a defensive mistake cutting inside and slotting the ball past the on rushing Westerlands keeper.

With the tails up, Killie made it 3-0 with the goal of the game. A cracking finish on the volley from Docherty following a whipped cross from Munro -who herself had been in good form all afternoon, giving the fullback a torrid time.

A mention also has to go to Alanna Black on her performance today. The midfielder had lots of nice touches and displayed some sublime passing in the final third. She was creating openings for Killie at almost every opportunity.

However this is not taking anything away from the rest of the team. This was a good all round team performance and it was good to see some smiling coaches on the sidelines too.
