Be The Boss - Ali Calder

Ali Calder - heart and soul of the Irvine Valley Supporters' Club along with his good pal wee Paddy. If you hear a song starting at Rugby Park...or anyone doing a solo because the sweetie paper rustlers won't join in, look no further than Ali, Gawstin's finest.

GK: Conor Brennan
This wouldn’t be my first choice however with what has happened up in Inverness last week we have no choice (unless the appeal to overturn the red card is successful, in which case Jamie is clearly our first choice).

Defence
LB:Lee Hodson
CB: Miles Addison
CB: Mark O’Hara
RB: Tope Obadeyi

The full backs have been doing well in recent games with providing well needed support to the attacks and allowing the midfielders to drive further up the park. I don’t think last week at ICT was the best display from O’Hara but hopefully he can turn it around this week and shore up the middle of the defence with advice and guidance from Addison. Miles has been looking solid at the back, very commanding and looks to be a good find. (Probably the hardest area of the team to pick) I have put Tope in at right back as he has a good attacking mentality and can work up and down the wing all day and hopefully provide some good cover with his pace.

Midfield
DM: Julien Faubert
CM: Gary Dicker
RM: Rory McKenzie
LM: Greg Kiltie

Faubert has shown some good glimpses of confidence and great ability, probably his best game coming against Celtic where he looked like he can make things happen and pick a pass. Would then stick Dicker in front of him who has again done a decent job in breaking up the play in the middle of the park, just a little more composure in spraying the passes I think we could have a real gem of a player.

Then out left young Greg Kiltie who for me (as the same with MacDonald) has been one of the players of the season, he looks confident going forward, always willing to get the ball to feet and isn’t scared to take on anyone at pace and can find the space to move the ball either into or get himself into. Then Rory on the right I don’t think this has been his best season for us but you know that the boy has the ability to turn it on and can produce for us hopefully we see this on Sat.

Forwards
CF: Kallum Higginbotham
CF: Kris Boyd

Playing Higgy in the hole behind Boyd again. Higgy has been one of those players that can make things happen when he is on his game. He has bags of ability and I would say he was one of the few to get pass marks last week at ICT. If he can do what he did up there this week then we could really punish Hamilton.

Finally Boyd playing as the lone striker - his hold up play is really good and if we can utilise that with the support from Higgy, Kiltie and Rory and also the fact that he is a born goal scorer then again going forward playing a high tempo could see us pick up the much needed 3 points.
